Evyle 'Mixette' de Villette is an unhinged esper who's occupation is to hunt down wandering spirits through her company Mastermind Inc. She has extraordinary esper powers and has been working with Heroland, and for individual clients for a long time.
Evyle has an estranged relationship with her (father?), stating that Heroland's old executives remind her of the "murderous bastard who happened to conceive her".[1] While talking about potential collateral from fighting strong spirits, she looks at her missing limb, hinting that she had to lose an arm in order to beat a spirit of Vonney's caliber if not higher.[1] Evyle states she has suffered "real, true devastating loss" as well.[2]
Evyle was content with the state of affairs she was working with at this point, despite it not being necessarily what she wanted.[3] While working at mastermind, Evyle de Villette's clientele was composed mostly of, as she describes them, wealthy "shits" and "greedy" old executives. She describes them haunted by spirits for a good reason.[4] She states that while she never really liked the job itself[5], She had a "good thing" going, and she enjoyed the freedom that came with being irreplaceable and being able to insult people she disliked to her faces while still getting paid. She could do this because she turned a blind eye to their excesses. She states that this is possibly the reason why she never noticed Vonesperda using her company for her own schemes.[4]
Agent of Chaos[]
Evyle asked Burk why he fought the executives and be a thorn to Heroland's side, to which Burk replied "fun". Evyle impressed that someone would fight a world power that has taken over half a continent just for "fun", leaves seeing him as an agent of chaos and clearing away any doubts that this was also her life's mission.[6] She finds camaraderie with Burk, saying she also enjoys challenges and thrives off chaos, hate and resentment.[7]
Evyle states that she would not care whatsoever of Vonesperda's schemes, no matter their dark influence, had Vonney not brought a lot of problems to her door and made Pablo accuse her of being complicit with Vonesperda's crimes, with several heros, executives and Burk and Pablo showing up. She states that even in the event of Heroland being presented with the truth, the suspicion placed on her would not go away, with Heroland potentially placing her under surveillance and with espers checking up on her.[3]
Yet when she wonders about this feeling of losing everything she built up in her life, destroying her own company, and going to war with Heroland itself, she feels nothing but euphoria. Watching Burk fight made her realize that there is no greater vision of a perfect life for her than sowing chaos, destroying her enemies no matter the personal cost. True freedom to act out her desires and her grudges for fun[2]

Esper Flare[]
The Esper Flare[8] is Esper induced magical fire.[9] Evyle demonstrated this when she was first introduced. It burns spirits. Evyle states that this isn't particularly effective at killing strong spirits, and that while its not impossible, the sheer intensity of the flare required to kill a strong wandering spirit like Vonesperda would take a long time to assemble.
However, Evyle was seen mopping the floor with something that "smelled sweet", which could have been an accelerant for the magical fire (and benzene is said to be an colourless sweet smelling liquid).

At Mastermind[]
Evyle was content with the state of affairs she was working with at this point, despite it not being necessarily what she wanted.[3] While working at mastermind, Evyle de Villette's clientele was composed mostly of, as she describes them, wealthy "shits" and "greedy" old executives. She describes them haunted by spirits for a good reason.[4] She states that while she never really liked the job itself[5], She had a "good thing" going, and she enjoyed the freedom that came with being irreplaceable and being able to insult people she disliked to her faces while still getting paid. Capturing Vonesperda[]
Evyle's plan for capturing Vonesperda was to camp the exits from which she'd appear. She had Mr. Mittens restrained in a room surrounded by anti-spirit artifacts and rituals.
Evyle has trouble killing really strong spirits with her esper flare, stating that killing Vonesperda with her "esper flare" would take too long to assemble from the sheer intensity required,[8] However, she states that she tries to avoid engaging with strong spirits because the collateral damage usually isn't worth it. However, she was willing to burn down Mastermind in order to set up an esper flare.[10] Due to the way that Vonesperda had hid the contracts directly into the building's foundation, the only way she could destroy them was to burn the whole building down herself.[11]
