Jake is a jerk with a heart of gold, a citizen of Rauel and a pilot of one of its many airships[1]. He has some kind of partiality to the Driver Class, plausibly because of his enjoyment of piloting flying vehicles.
[]
Jake, at least on the outset, can seem like a disrespectful and inconsiderate jerk[2], as seen with him not caring about the inquiries of others, even answering questions for them, assuming he already knows their answer[3]. Not to mention his complete disregard for one his exploration team's members, purely because he considers them a 'problem' despite never having any interactions with them [4].
His carelessness continues when he actively makes decisions without ever consulting his companions, despite such decisions having consequences that ripple onto them; as seen with Jake picking his class without worrying about any kind of team synergy [5].
Jake also considers abandoning one of the said companions when push comes to shove, however we did not get to see why this was a consideration he was willing to follow through, as Joni cut him off [6]. He also shows off to be someone who is not only intelligent but meticulous in ensuring his victory, mock fighting enemies to understand their patterns [7] and proceeding to come up with a means to defeat them only moments later [8].
His heart of gold however, despite how selfish he can be, shines through in various occasions. He goes out of his way to save allies from incoming attacks [9], if one is wounded he sees it as a priority to get them cured [10], and shows REAL concern when one them is permenantly injured [11]. His kindness and concern for his friends' wellbeing is further expressed through him offering his words in a time of need and distress[12].

Jake has decent enough experience in dungeon crawling, as seen with his careful knowledge of the Dungeon's systems and how they work as proven by the fact he has beaten a Level 3 Dungeon at least once [13]. However his many prowess comes in with his class - Driver. The only class he's ever interested in, and one that compliments his skills in piloting. He says he's good enough to drive while sleeping![14]
The Driver[]
Mainly functioning as a support class. The Driver class is one that unlike the others, requires an in-Dungeon item to properly function. Other classes only require the individual to bring a weapon with them to be used. It likely possesses a mapping function that works on lower level dungeons, but does not show the paths in higher level dungeons or subdungeons[15] . The class' attack power seems greatly limited, as the only offensive class power that it has is its Fuel Beam[16].
Vehicle[]
The item in question is the vehicle which can be driven at high speeds[17] and even hover high off the ground[18]. It can reach up to Necro-Gaia's belt.[19] However, the vehicle itself is vulnerable to damage, and only possesses 40 HP. Thoses that are not of the Driver class can use it, but cannot control it.[20] It has a limited steam gauge, of which it can run out of.[21]
Jake could leave it alone as a sentry to defend Joni.[19] It was destroyed by Necro-Gaia's crush attack.[20]
Vehicle Bash[]
The vehicle drives straight into the enemy. As Jake said he placed the vehicle as a sentry to defend Joni, wether this is done automatically on the vehicle's part or Jake ordering it to is unknown.
Machine Gun[]
Driver's main means of inflicting damage. Jake reveals a machine gun that pelts the enemy.
Fuel Beam[]
The Fuel Beam is a Special Class ability that is implied by Jake to be a limited time use. This special fires a massive red death-laser to where the front of the vehicle is facing, dealing high damage and knocking back enemies[22].
Chain Claw[]
The Chain is a long distance utility ability of the Driver Class, one that allows the pilot to shoot out a claw that grabs an intended target and pulls them closer to the Driver themselves[23].

Jake has completed a Level 3 Dungeon at least once before the story began.
During the dungeon, Jake proved himself to be adept at navigating several puzzles, and picking up his own weight. As they ventured into the level 7 subdungeon, he gave a job to Sari to distract the Pols monsters. Jake was confident he could take on the level 7 subdungeon if Sari and Tobi could be convinced to.
Jake led the party into the level 7 subdungeon. While there he instructed his vehicle to defend Tobi and tried to fight the final boss without it before abandoning the idea quick seeing how dangerous Necro-Gaia was. Throughout the fight, Jake was the most pro-active at formulating plans and forming attack patterns for the team to take on the final boss, but the team nearly suffered a team wipe. Necro-Gaia crushed his vehicle, removing most of his useful class abilities while he puppeteered Joni's body into attacking his arm with her axe, injuring him. With the boss using Joni as a human shield, his machine gun fire hit Joni rendering her unconscious.
He and his team were eventually saved by King Baku and Delhara, with Sari and Joni on life support while his arm was seen in a cast.
